March 8th is dedicated to International Women's Day - a day to celebrate the gains women have made, and to remind us of the work that still lies ahead of us in achieving equality.
We took a walk on McGill's downtown campus to get a sense of what women's thoughts were. What does IWD mean to university women today? How does the McGill community promote the rights of women, and what more is there to do? Woven in with segments from Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie's inspirational talk, "We Should All be Feminists", this short radio segment is a collection of interviews that our group had with women on campus. Some women were optimistic, some were alarmed, most were hopful for the future.
We thank all women who agreed to share their ideas and comments with us. In Solidarity.
